What Is An EMT Strap?
An EMT strap is used to secure EMT conduit to a mounting surface. According to NEC code, EMT should be secured in place at least every 10 feet. Additionally, you should fasten within 3 feet between EMT and each box. When you use EMT one hole strap, hole up is stronger. EMT two hole straps are used where higher load bearing supports are needed.
