• Thin-wall EMT (Electrical Metallic Tubing): EMT, unthreaded, is the most common conduit for commercial applications, as it’s less costly and lighter than RMC or IMC.
• Medium-wall IMC (Intermediate Metal Conduit): IMC is usually threaded. It’s heavier than EMT but lighter than RMC.
• Heavy-wall RMC (Rigid Metal Conduit): RMC is threaded at both ends and the most strongest conduit. It’s commonly used in industrial locations and other hazardous areas.
• FMC (Flexible Metal Conduit): FMC is used primarily in dry locations where it would be impractical to install EMT or any other conduit.
• LFMC (Liquid-tight Flexible Metal Conduit): LFMC is a metallic flexible conduit with a liquid-tight PVC jacket that can be used in wet or sunlight locations. The interior is similar to FMC.
• Conduit Fittings: Fittings are designed to connect two lengths of conduits, join conduits to electrical boxes or fasten conduits to walls or ceilings.
• Conduit body: It offer a convenient entry point for inspection, maintenance and future system updates.
